The Bottom Line is the story of a young man experiencing an awakening as he learns various spiritual lessons throughout the course of college.  The Bottom Line offers practical guidance as well as instructive inspiration for your life.  Walt Metsh begins college just like anybody else.  He spends the week working hard and goes out drinking with his friends during the weekend.  Walt eventually becomes consumed with the fears and desires of his ego.   As Walt discovers how to transform his ego and fear based reality, the reader will also learn how to remove their own preconditioned tendencies that are often filled with doubt, fear, and insecurity.

After reaching a point of virtual self-destruction, Walt realizes that there must be an easier and more fulfilling way to live his life. This realization sparks him to study the practices of today’s greatest spiritual teachers.   Their practices teach Walt how to use his intuition to receive insightful guidance and show him how to experience the magic of serendipity. As Walt incorporates their practices into his day-to-day life, the reader will gradually let go of their pain, insecurities and fears; and remember the sacred part of their mind that encompasses pure love.

Even if you are not overtly spiritual, the lessons that Walt learns teach the reader exactly how to remove their own blocks so that they may fully utilize and express that sacred part of their mind that has no limitations through their own daily interactions, relationships and endeavors.

"I think more than anything I like how Matt reflects on things he has read and attempts to apply it to his own life.  I really enjoy the idea of closing out all outside thoughts so you can clear your mind and prepare it for the Spirit to manifest itself.  Matt, thank you for sharing such a personal account of your life."

"Matt Welsh is a very good writer!  I especially liked the anecdote about Barney and the golf cart.  Also, I think his ideas about the connection between the body and the Spirit will become more important and of greater public focus in the future."

 - Sarah Gangstad, J.D.

"I really enjoyed The Bottom Line.  The spiritual ideas included are wonderful.  Matt Welsh distilled a lot of knowledge and wisdom into it.  I am grateful that he put it out into the world. It's amazing that Matt has learned so much at such a young age."
